38 Killed in Bus Crash

NEW DELHI —
A government-owned bus smashed against a tree, crashed into a drainage ditch and burst into flames in western Maharashtra state Thursday, killing 38 people and injuring 24, the Press Trust of India reported. The news agency said the accident occurred in Deorali village, near the town of Nanded, about 650 miles south of New Delhi.
