Societe d’Applications Hydrauliques, a French concern, controls 12.94% of Ameron Inc., a Monterey Park-based maker of pipes and steel products, according to a filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission. Hydrauliques said it most recently boosted its stake by almost 1% when it bought 16,000 Ameron common shares from Jan. 25 to April 7 at $30.75 to $32 each.
