A federal judge in Cleveland granted Teamsters Union President Jackie Presser a four-week delay for a pretrial hearing originally set for today on the status of his health. Presser, who is undergoing daily radiation therapy for cancer at the Cleveland Clinic, is now to appear in court on June 3 with two co-defendants in a racketeering and embezzlement case, U.S. District Judge George White ruled. Prosecutors had filed a motion seeking to block the delay. Presser underwent lung cancer surgery at the Cleveland Clinic in January, 1987. Last week, he submitted a letter to the Teamsters requesting a four-month leave of absence.
