Chen Xiaodon and Xiong Ni, both 14 years old, gave China a sweep of the men’s and women’s 10-meter platform events in the McDonald’s International diving championships at Boca Raton, Fla.

Chen won the women’s competition handily, beating Elena Miroshina, a 13-year-old Soviet diver.

In the men’s competition, Xiong was nearly perfect on his final dive to hold off Matt Scoggin of Great Falls, Va., who trains at the University of Texas.

Greg Louganis, America’s best diver, withdrew because of a sore wrist.
