Soviet officials have lifted restrictions on the sale of American and West European newspapers and magazines, and they will be sold in ordinary press kiosks in the future, the weekly Moscow News reported. The weekly’s article, which specifically mentioned the Times of London, the International Herald Tribune, Newsweek and the Economist as examples of Western publications that will be available, did not make clear when the publications will appear.
