Man Slays Federal Judge at Home, Then Kills Self

PELHAM, N.Y. —
A federal judge was shot and killed at his home in this wealthy New York City suburb Saturday by a man who then committed suicide, police said.
Richard J. Daronco, 56, was in a garden at his home when the man approached and wounded him, authorities said. He ran, but the attacker followed him into the house. The unidentified gunman killed himself after the shooting.
