Fire broke out on a cargo ferry with 75 people aboard in the English Channel, the British coast guard in Dover reported. One person was reported missing and another injured. The crew of the ferry, the 5,088-ton Seafreight Freeway, told the French coast guard in Cap Gris Nez that the fire was under control. The vessel, with 43 passengers and a crew of 32, was sailing from Dover in southeast England to Zeebrugge, Belgium, when the blaze broke out, reportedly in the engine room.
