AT&T; Chairman Robert E. Allen said the company may curtail purchases of Olivetti personal computers and may seek another supplier, according to a report in the Wall Street Journal. Allen also said the company plans to take “direct” management control of its foreign operations. Olivetti currently sells AT&T; minicomputers in Europe.
