Is Ollie North getting too big for one network night? CBS veep Steve Mills confirms that a two-hour biopicture on the retired colonel is being reconsidered--as a four-hour miniseries.

Mills said Mike Robe’s first draft script of Ollie’s story came in longer than anticipated. “It turned out well enough to spark the idea of expanding the saga,” said Mills--”(although) we’re not sure whether the public will tune in a second night.”

It’s all a bit premature, though, until North’s legal fate is decided: “After all, we don’t have the last act yet.”
