New Magazine Aims at Readers Addicted to Most Anything
People who behave compulsively or suffer addictions will soon have a magazine to call their own.
Recovery Now, due out Tuesday, is for alcoholics, drug abusers, compulsive gamblers, overeaters, overspenders, wife and child beaters, workaholics, sex addicts and others whose behavior is disrupting their lives and those of their family and friends.
“People sometimes don’t know how to deal with their problems. They feel it’s the end of the world,” said James Trotta, the magazine’s publisher and a reformed compulsive gambler. “This magazine is going to say: ‘Hey, there is a tomorrow.’ ”
A regular column called “Celebrity Cue” will feature a well-known personality who will share either a personal struggle with a behavior disorder or that of someone close to them.
