‘How Doctors Keep Up’

Share

Do you really believe, Daniel Greenberg, that the only continuing education that we doctors get is by attending CME courses for credit? Just for the record, my typical week consists of reading 6 to 8 medical journals, listening to 1 to 2 audio-digest medical tapes, attending from 1 to 3 hospital meetings where there is usually a medical lecture, referring to my medical library daily, and taking medical computer courses on different subjects that I’m interested in. This is all in addition to attending CME courses. CME courses for credit to make sure that the doctor keeps up are not the motivating force for compliance. Being a good doctor is.
