Kron Chocolatier Inc. announced that it has discontinued all business operations in New York. Kron, a Nevada corporation, has closed three retail stores in New York, a fourth in California and has moved out of its New York factory and put all of its machinery and equipment into storage. Operating employees were terminated in May. Kron previously announced that it was seeking a merger partner or a new investor. Kron’s board of directors has accepted a proposal made by a Connecticut investment group to sell all the company’s assets for a price that has not yet been made public, but the transaction is not final.
