Two Irish Republican Army guerrillas were sentenced to prison terms after being found guilty of conspiring to carry out bomb attacks in Britain. Patrick McLaughlin, 40, was sentenced to 20 years and Liam McCotter, 25, to 15 years. The two men were arrested last February after investigators found an arms and explosives cache near Manchester. The IRA, which is fighting to end British rule in Northern Ireland, has vowed to kill Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher.
