Investment L.P. said it is holding talks with American Medical International of Beverly Hills to explore possible ways of increasing AMI’s shareholder value. Investment L.P., a Ft. Worth limited partnership that holds about 7% of AMI’s stock, is one of four groups with major stakes, totaling about 32%, in the health-care firm. The Texas-based partnership said it has discussed the possibility of restructuring AMI during talks with company management and with other major shareholders, according to a document filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission. The partnership plans to propose that major shareholders be offered positions on AMI’s board, the filing shows.
