Many Polish officials are upset over the apparent public burning alive of about 30 sheep while making a movie, the Polish news agency PAP reported Saturday. The “barbaric act” was committed May 23 in southern Poland, where extras from the nearby tourist resort of Zakopane witnessed the burning of the sheep during the shooting of a scene. “The wave of indignation and protests (from public officials and the public) . . . is growing,” PAP said. The news account did not give the name or any other details about the film being made.
