KIDS ON THE COUCH

Share

Dembart’s article did not discuss the issue of children’s emotional problems being a function of pathology with the parents and home situation. More often than not, children’s emotional difficulties cannot be significantly rectified if the environment in which they live is not improved. While many children can benefit greatly from therapy, the emotional difficulties of parents and pathological family systems must be addressed and worked with if the child is to fully prosper.
