Gymnast Sabrina Mar, 1985 U.S. champion and gold medal winner at the 1987 Pan-American Games, has suffered a recurrence of a chronic back injury and will miss this week’s national tournament, which will determine who competes in the U.S. Olympic trials. Mar will petition the U.S. Gymnastics Federation for a bye into the trials, which start Aug. 4 at Salt Lake City.
