SAN MARINO — The legislature named a government composed of Christian Democrats and Communists, who together have ruled this tiny republic for two years.
The new government was formed Wednesday after May 29 elections for the legislature, known as the Great and General Council.
The government is comprised of six Christian Democrats and four Communists, a gain of one for the Christian Democrats.
The legislature retained the three top ministers from the previous government--Gabriele Gatti, secretary of state for foreign affairs; Alvaro Selva, secretary of state for internal affairs, and Clara Boscaglia, secretary of state for finance and budget.
