Applications for County Rent Subsidy Program May Be Made by Telephone
Requests to be placed on the preliminary applications waiting list for the Section 8 rent subsidy program of the Los Angeles County Community Development Commission are being taken by telephone. The registration period will continue until further notice.
The Section 8 Housing Assistance Payments Program provides a housing subsidy for eligible very low-income families, elderly, disabled and handicapped people in privately owned housing.
Eligible people must be residents of the unincorporated area of Los Angeles County or cities participating in the CDC program, or they must be employed in Los Angeles County or the participating cities.
Those waiting to be placed on the waiting list can call 260-2841 from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. Applicants should have available their Social Security number and source of income for all family members.
