A 21-year-old man was killed Thursday when his motorcycle struck two cars on California 78, the coroner’s office reported.
Jamie Sean Moran of San Diego reportedly lost control on a curve while eastbound in a westbound lane, sideswiped a car and hit another head-on just west of Weekend Villa Road about 12:40 p.m.
The driver of the second car, Michael Joseph Shimer, 25, was taken to Palomar Memorial Hospital, where he was treated and released.
Moran was pronounced dead at the scene.
