Duke center Danny Ferry was released from the U.S Olympic basketball team because of a knee injury, which prevented him from practicing at a “high level of intensity” at the team’s training camp at Georgetown University, according to the U.S. Amateur Basketball Assn.
Twenty players are still competing for 12 regular and 2 alternate spots on the team, which will represent the United States at Seoul Sept. 17-Oct. 2
