Ann Phillips; Princess Anne’s Mother-in-Law
Ann Phillips, 62, mother-in-law of Britain’s Princess Anne. Mrs. Phillips was the mother of Capt. Mark Phillips, a commoner who in 1973 married Anne, the only daughter of Queen Elizabeth II. A palace spokesman said Phillips was at his mother’s side when she died Monday at Southmead Hospital near her home in Wiltshire, southern England, of a pancreatic ailment.
