Control Data Corp. reported second-quarter earnings of $9.2 million, contrasted with a loss of $5.5 million a year ago. The Minneapolis computer maker said sales rose to $951.7 million, up 21%. The firm credited its improved revenue to significant increases in the business services and data storage products businesses.
