Noble Aydelotte Cathcart; Saturday Review Founder

Noble Aydelotte Cathcart, 90, a founder and former publisher of the Saturday Review. Cathcart was a graduate of the Ethical Culture School in New York and attended Harvard. He became circulation manager of the New York Evening Post in the early 1920s and then helped found the Saturday Review of Literature, where he served as publisher until 1939. He was assistant to the president of Crowell-Collier Publishing Co. from 1939 to 1943. During World War II, he was assistant director of domestic operations for the Office of War Information.
