Drought
Is there a drought or not? You would never know that there is a water shortage from the way the Department of Water and Power hot line handles complaints of egregious water wasting.
When I have called the water conservation hot line to report sprinkler flooding, asphalt hosing, etc., the response was, “There is nothing we can do as long as the customer is paying his/her bill.”
When I complained about the DWP’s lack of interest to Councilman Marvin Braude’s office, Iwas given the number of a supervisor.
The average citizen is not going to go through this much trouble in a water conservation effort.
Why won’t DWP take a stand if this drought is such an emergency?
