KaiserTech Ltd. said a special meeting to vote on a previously announced merger with Maxxam Group has been scheduled for Oct. 13 in Oakland. Stockholders of record Aug. 31 will be eligible to vote. If shareholders approve the agreement and the necessary financing is arranged, a newly formed subsidiary of Maxxam will be merged into KaiserTech and KaiserTech will become a subsidiary of Maxxam.
