The jury in the Wedtech corruption trial weighed evidence for a second day without reaching a verdict Sunday in the case of Rep. Mario Biaggi (D-N.Y.) and six others charged with racketeering.

The jury began deliberations Saturday after more than four months of testimony and a week of closing arguments.

The panel, which is not sequestered, went home at 5:30 p.m. and was to resume this morning.

Biaggi, former Bronx Borough President Stanley Simon and five other defendants were charged with turning the now-defunct Wedtech Corp. into a racketeering enterprise that paid out millions of dollars in bribes to obtain no-bid government contracts.
