Carol Meunch this week became director of education at Irvine Medical Center, Irvine’s first hospital, which is under construction and scheduled to open in the summer of 1989. She was recruited from Irvine Valley College, where she was vice president of student services. Meunch, who is a nurse, will design and supervise educational programs for physicians, nurses and other hospital employees.

Meunch said she is currently discussing with Irvine Valley College the possibility of developing a biomedical curriculum to train laboratory and X-ray technicians. She said the students “might use the hospital as a laboratory for clinical practice.”
