AIDS and Medical Care

Lynn Simross’ article (“The Unwanted Challenge,” July 27) moved me deeply. The issues of quality medical care for AIDS/ ARC/HIV positive individuals must be seriously addressed now, while we still have the potential to manage this epidemic.

Many thousands of kind, loving men, women, children, friends, parents and even grandparents are losing their lives to AIDS. We must not turn away from them out of unfounded fear and ignorance. They need us all.
