20 Hurt, 300 Flee Fumes From Georgia Derailment

MIDDLETON, Ga. —
Three hundred people were forced to spend the night away from home after chemical tank cars, fractured in a train derailment, spilled an industrial solvent. About 20 people were treated at a hospital Monday after they inhaled fumes from the spilled substance, called xylene, which is used in aviation fuel and as a solvent for resins and enamels.
