Rainbow Technologies of Irvine reported that net income for the second quarter more than doubled to $248,017 from $111,913 for the year-earlier quarter. Revenue increased to $1.5 million from $599,526. For the first half, net income totaled $442,217, contrasted with $212,407 for the first six months of last year. Revenue rose to $2.6 million from $1.1 million a year ago. The company said that demand for its software security products has increased as a result of higher personal computer software sales during the first six months of 1988.
