CMS Enhancements, a Tustin personal computer products company, said its fiscal year 1988 earnings jumped 47% to $2.5 million on a 51% rise in sales.

Earnings for the year ended June 30 were up from $1.7 million a year ago. CMS said its earnings included a one-time gain of $208,000 due to changes in the company’s accounting procedures.

Sales rose to $151.5 million, up from $100.2 million.

Jim Farooquee, president and chief executive, attributed the firm’s improved financial performance to the success of several new products, increased sales to U.S. distributors and a “steady increase” in international sales.
