The Minnesota Health Department plans to revoke or suspend the licenses of two Twin Cities area nursing homes run by Pasadena-based Beverly Enterprises Inc., the nation’s largest nursing home chain, an official says. Innsbruck Healthcare Center in New Brighton and Parkway Manor in St. Paul have failed to correct a number of serious deficiencies in the care of elderly patients and have been fined in the past, an official said. Michael Tripple, director of health resources, said the department also is considering taking control of all 45 Beverly homes in Minnesota. A Beverly spokeswoman said the company is very concerned about deficiencies and will meet with health officials on the matter.
