Teen Teacher

It was truly heartening to read about Penny Wilkerson (Metro, Aug. 11). This article proves that there are teens in all walks of life who are ambitious, caring, giving and gifted. Miss Wilkerson hopes to be a lawyer; I wonder if she would consider becoming a teacher? There are so many lawyers, and we have such a great need for gifted teachers. I am sure that whatever she does, she will be successful. But please, Miss Wilkerson, our children need teachers like you!
