Ex-Bank President Held in $5-Million Embezzlement

ST. PAUL, Minn. —
Daniel K. Conners, former president of the People’s State Banks of Mazeppa, was arrested by FBI agents in his home Monday on charges of embezzling more than $5 million. Conners, 28, who resigned two months after taking over the small town bank in 1987, was accused of making “a series of conversions and cover-ups.”
