Fiat SpA said it plans to raise its stake in auto maker Ferrari SpA. Fiat, which acquired a 50% stake in Ferrari in 1969, holds an option to buy the 40% owned by Enzo Ferrari, who died in Modena, Italy, on Sunday at age 90. Ferrari was “by contract obligated” to offer Enzo Ferrari’s shares to Fiat, a Fiat spokeswoman said. The remaining 10% would be left in the hands of Enzo Ferrari’s son, Lardi Ferrari. The Fiat spokeswoman said procedural details and financial terms will be discussed at a meeting next month between the Ferrari family and Fiat officials.
