Kareem Abdul-Jabbar has announced that he has signed an agreement with agent Arnold Rifkin, of Triad Artists Inc., to represent him in all entertainment fields.

Abdul-Jabbar is under contract to play one more season--his 20th in the National Basketball Assn.--with the two-time defending NBA champion Lakers.

“This will be my last year in pro basketball,” he said. “And when it’s over I will look forward to making a quick and effortless transition to the entertainment industry.”
