U.S. Relations With Nicaragua
The Times editors indulgently continue to insult their readers’ intelligence by doggedly referring to the conundrum in Nicaragua as “Reagan’s dirty little war.”
Yet our Congress is solicited to follow the advice of such shallow thinkers on what tactics we should take to help bring peace with democracy to Nicaragua and elsewhere in Central America.
Hopefully, liberals in Congress can enlighten President Oscar Arias Sanchez as to their earlier misjudgments of the Sandinistas, and look to the tactical advice of those who have been right all along.
