DWI, a publicly held industrial design firm in Mission Viejo, said it had agreed to a two-year contract to do research and development for Housing Developers Unlimited of Maryland. The contract is for $240,000 or 1% of Housing Developers’ gross sales each year.
Housing Developers is seeking federal grants to build a modular housing plant in Baltimore. Eventually the company plans to develop low-income housing in East Coast cities.
The two companies had swapped shares earlier this year.
