BONN —
Six East German citizens demanding exit visas ended a three-day sit-in at the West German diplomatic mission in East Berlin on Sunday, a West German government spokesman said.
Friedhelm Ost, the spokesman, said they did not obtain the visas and added that East German authorities would not charge them in connection with the occupation.
West Germany’s mission in East Berlin had previously been the target of East Germans seeking to emigrate to the West. It is guarded round the clock by East Germans.
