Federal Regulators closed three banks, two in Texas and one in Oklahoma. In Texas, First National Bank of Atascocita, Harris County and Pioneer National Bank, Arlington, were declared insolvent. In Oklahoma, the American Bank of Muskogee was also declared insolvent. The Federal Deposit Insurance Corp. was appointed as receiver for all three banks. There have been 152 bank closures so far this year.
