Bangladeshis Float to Work in Flooded Dhaka

DHAKA, Bangladesh — Office workers in small boats and banana-plant rafts sailed to work through flooded streets in the Bangladesh capital Thursday as the Buriganga River reached its highest level in 34 years.
One-fourth of Dhaka, a city of 4 million, was under water ranging from a few inches to several feet. No deaths have been reported in the city.
