Had Gen. Augusto Pinochet’s 15-year-old barbaric regime directly affected people in this country, the Reagan Administration might have acted as aggressively to topple him as was done to try to depose Gen. Manuel Noriega in Panama. Noriega’s offenses are only misdemeanors compared to the heinous crimes of the Chilean tyrant!
