Talk about tapping into the network mentality: In “Scrooged” (due at Christmas), the opening sequence finds a TV exec (Bill Murray) having a nightmare in which Santa’s North Pole workshop is under attack--by ninjas! Santa’s elves are armed to the teeth, but they’re no match for the trained assassins. But just when it looks like St. Nick’s doomed, along comes . . . Lee Majors!

For “Wiseguy” fans: Vinnie has been chasing Mafia maniacs, drug peddlers, arms dealers, third world revolutionaries, filthy politicians, rotten money launderers, nun killers, mother beaters, etc. The first slimey of the upcoming season will be Knox Pooley, a seething white supremacist. The casting call for the role is for “a combination Lee Iacocca and Jimmy Swaggert.”
