Kevin Roy left the site of the 1988 Summer Olympic Games after receiving word that he had become the fourth Canadian weightlifter in a week to test positive for anabolic steroids.

The initial test had been conducted in Montreal by the International Olympic Committee on a sample collected in Canada, but the results had not become known until after Roy had arrived in Seoul.

A second test will be conducted within 10 days. Roy, who has the right to be present for that test, has returned to Canada for that reason.
