The Grinch of the Year Award goes to the San Diego police officer stationed just outside the entrance to the Michelob Street Scene on Saturday night in the Gaslamp Quarter. About an hour into the show, a couple with a small child approached the officer. The woman said they were from out of town and wanted to know what was going on. The officer’s response: “Just a bunch of noise and 12 bucks to get into a cage filled with obnoxious people.”
