U.S. military experts flew to Vietnam on Monday to discuss possible joint searches for remains of American servicemen missing from the Vietnam War, the U.S. Embassy said.

The five-man team was to have left Friday on an Air Vietnam jet, but that plane crashed while attempting to land at Bangkok airport, killing 76 people. The embassy said the group flew to the Vietnamese capital of Hanoi by special embassy aircraft.
