Appraising the Animal Activists

Share

Chris DeRose and many others like him (including myself), find ourselves sickened and enraged when we encounter atrocities against animals in the name of housekeeping and science (“The Unbridled Activist” by Kathleen Hendrix, Aug. 31).

Intellect, not emotion, becomes the evaluating factor when one reads accounts of the absurdity of vivisection. Billions of dollars in government funding have gone into labs in hospitals, college campuses and the National Institutes of Health that do the same tests repeatedly. Yet, we live in a country that still does not have a national health plan.
