Giveaway of Butter, Powdered Milk to Be Held in La Mirada

Surplus powdered milk and butter will be distributed from 9 a.m. until the supply is gone (or until noon) Sept. 22 at the Kling Center, 12900 Bluefield Ave. There will be no pre-registration; the distribution will be made on a first-come, first-served basis.

The distribution is restricted to one allocation per household, and residents must be 18 or older. Food-stamp recipients, the disabled, low-income households and senior citizens are eligible.

Eligible homebound residents may call 943-0131, Ext. 239, for information on forms that permit a third party to pick up their allocation for them on the day of the distribution. No home delivery is available.
