Gencorp’s net income for the third quarter...

Gencorp’s net income for the third quarter totaled $19 million, including land sales gains of $6 million after-tax, compared to $17 million a year ago. Net sales for the Akron, Ohio, firm rose to $473 million from $416 million a year ago. Gencorp is a technology-based company with strong positions in aerospace, automotive and related polymer products.
